Izvestia reported: “Fedorchak was working on the territory of the Luhansk People’s Republic and was killed by artillery fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.”

According to the newspaper, his final report was published on March 23; he had been reporting in the Kharkiv region near Kupyansk.

Fedorchak was reportedly born in Crimea. He began his career as a newspaper reporter and moved to television a few years ago.

The same attack reportedly also killed three soldiers, a cameraman, and a driver.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Kyiv not only continues to terrorize Russian civilians and energy infrastructure, but also targets members of the media.

“As we have repeatedly stated,” said Zakharova, “the Kyiv regime not only wages terror on civilians and energy facilities, but once again strikes Russian journalists who report unarmed from the field.”
