Iran's UN mission says Sinwar's death strengthens "spirit of resistance"
New York, October 18 (Hibya) - Iran's UN mission said the circumstances of Yahya Sinwar's death in an active war zone will strengthen the "spirit of resistance".
"When Muslims see Martyr Sinwar standing on the battlefield - in battle fatigues and in the open, not in a hiding place, but facing the enemy - the spirit of resistance will be strengthened," the Iranian UN mission said in a statement in X.
"He will be a model for youth and children who will advance the path to the liberation of Palestine. "As long as there is occupation and aggression, resistance will continue because the martyr continues to survive and inspire," it said.
Hamas, along with Hezbollah, the Houthis and other groups, are part of an Iranian-led alliance spanning Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Gaza and Iraq that has attacked Israel and its allies since the start of Israel's war in Gaza. They say they will not stop attacking Israel and its allies until a ceasefire is reached in the Palestinian settlement.
