Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he held talks with Finnish President Alexander Stubb on the Russia-Ukraine war and European security.

Zelensky stated that diplomatic initiatives aimed at ending the war and Europe’s role in the process were discussed during the meeting, saying, “Transatlantic unity is essential on the path to peace. We coordinated our positions regarding the next steps.”

President Zelensky noted that partners assess Ukraine to be in its strongest frontline position over the past year and emphasized that his country is becoming a reliable security provider for Europe and other regions.

Ukraine’s European Union integration process was also on the agenda during the meeting. Zelensky stated, “The necessary window of opportunity to open all six negotiation clusters has now emerged.”
