Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said civilian settlements and infrastructure were severely damaged and many people were killed in attacks carried out with drones and missiles since the nighttime hours.

Referring to the response of field teams and the situation in the Kyiv region, Zelensky said, "In many cities and settlements, work to deal with the aftermath of the Russian attack has been ongoing since last night; around 350 emergency responders are working in Kyiv and the region alone. A significant number of jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles were used in the attack. Unfortunately, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged."

Drawing attention to the losses in Boryspil and the city, Zelensky said, "In Boryspil, an ordinary five-story residential building was damaged. Fifty people were evacuated. All necessary services are being provided on site. Workplaces were also hit. A total of 4 people were killed in the city and 13 were injured. I extend my condolences."

Describing the damage in Odesa and border areas, Zelensky said, "Since yesterday evening, attacks with guided aerial bombs and drones against Odesa and the region have continued. Thousands of families have been left without electricity, and work is ongoing to restore power to people as soon as possible. The border crossing with Romania and export infrastructure were deliberately damaged."

Concluding his remarks by sharing the toll in different regions, Zelensky said, "In Kyiv, 7 people were killed in an attack on a railway depot. The Kherson, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy and Dnipro regions were also attacked. A total of 12 people were killed in the attack, including an Indian citizen, and dozens of people were injured. My condolences to everyone who lost their families and loved ones."
